A configured MuchSkills instance is a starting point. Professional Onboarding covers the three services that turn it into a platform your organisation relies on – from day one.

The organisations that get the highest adoption and business impact from MuchSkills share one characteristic: they invested in getting the foundation right.
What Professional Onboarding covers
A platform configured to match your organisation becomes part of how people work – not another system they work around.
Insight built across hundreds of implementations – so your configuration reflects what actually works, not what looks right on paper.
1-4 weeks depending on complexity
Platform configuration, taxonomy and preset import, permission model setup, SSO/SAML assistance, historical data cleaning and migration (skills, certifications, work experience), user provisioning guidance, admin training, go-live support, 30-day stabilisation monitoring.
A configured platform is where technical readiness ends. Sustained, organisation-wide participation is where business value begins.
A methodology tested across hundreds of implementations – from single-site mid-market rollouts to complex global workforces – including the organisations that achieved 90%+ adoption.
Begins 3-4 months before launch; end date scoped per engagement
Readiness assessment and stakeholder mapping, communication strategy and templates, role-specific training design, launch sequence planning, adoption metrics dashboard, intervention protocols, ongoing adoption coaching.
Don't have a skills taxonomy yet? Skills Strategy & Design typically runs before or alongside onboarding – most clients scope both together to avoid delays at go-live.

We implemented MuchSkills several years ago to better understand and develop workforce capabilities – and now our learning data is part of our annual strategy reporting.
Höegh Autoliners operates across multiple continents with a workforce that spans vessel crews, shore-based operations, and corporate functions. Rolling out a skills platform at that scale – with consistent adoption across all groups – is a different challenge from a single-office deployment. MuchSkills Professional Onboarding gave them the configuration, integration, and change management support to make it work. The result: 90%+ adoption, and skills data that now feeds directly into annual strategy reporting.
For organisations with more than 100 users, Professional Onboarding is the recommended path – and for most, the fastest route to a live, actively used platform. For organisations with fewer than 50 users and a straightforward single-location structure, self-guided setup is possible. For anyone in between – or with HRIS integration requirements, complex team structures, or previous experience of low adoption on enterprise tools – Professional Onboarding significantly improves outcomes.
We configure the platform to reflect your organisation – importing your skills taxonomy, setting up role presets and team structures, establishing user permissions, and handling SSO/SAML where needed. Where needed, we also clean and import historical data – skills records, certifications, and work experience – from Excel or previous systems. We train your administrators, support your go-live, and monitor adoption metrics for 30 days after launch. The goal: a platform that reflects how your organisation works from the first day a user logs in.
MuchSkills connects natively with BambooHR, Workday, HiBob, Personio, SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, CatalystOne, Zoho, and Microsoft Active Directory. For systems outside the native connectors, integration is available via API – we manage the technical setup and testing.
The difference is depth and track record. Internal setup works for simple, single-location organisations – but configuration decisions made at go-live are hard to undo at scale. Our team has run hundreds of implementations and knows which taxonomy structures, permission models, and adoption approaches work for which types of organisation. We also bring tested intervention protocols for adoption – so if completion rates slip in month one, we already have a plan.
Yes – and for most new customers, this is the recommended path. If your organisation does not yet have a skills taxonomy or role presets, Skills Strategy & Design typically runs before or alongside platform implementation. We scope both together to avoid delays at go-live.
Pricing is scoped per organisation based on size, complexity, HRIS platform, and adoption support scope. Talk to us for a detailed quote.
