Nobody does their best work in the wrong role.
MuchSkills began in Gothenburg in 2019 with a small delusion: work gets better when people spend more of it on what they are good at. We build software for that belief. We also try to live by it, which is the harder part.
We graded our skills like Fontainebleau climbs
Working across Europe, the US and Asia, co-founder Noel Braganza kept seeing the same thing. Teams that know each other’s strengths work better together. So at Up Strategy Lab, the design firm behind MuchSkills, people graded their own skills in a Google Sheet, colour-coded like the climbing grades at Fontainebleau. That sheet became MuchSkills. What it taught us became how we work.
- Customer value first
- Strengths before job titles
- As much fun as possible
- Busy work isn't work
- Come as you are
- Stay for the fun
- Just be nice
Good work keeps its own hours
Our home is Gothenburg, but the team works remotely and keeps its own hours. Some of our best ideas turn up at a café on a sunny afternoon. Others arrive on the couch at 8 pm. We started as designers, and we still care how things are made.
That care for craft won us a Red Dot in 2020, for user experience and interface design.
Small team, many sides
We’re a small, experienced team led by co-founders Daniel Nilsson and Noel Braganza. Our job titles differ, but the things we share show up every day.
