1. About this policy

This policy explains how MuchSkills uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, what each one does, and how you control them. It covers our public website only.

The logged-in MuchSkills product is different. Inside the product we use only cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep the service working, together with any cookie set by the in-product support tool listed on our sub-processor list. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking in the product, and we do not use product data for advertising. We keep security and activity logs, including records of signing in and out, as described in our Privacy Policy. Everything below is about the website. MuchSkills AB is the controller for the personal data described here; other personal data collected through the website is covered by our Website Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and they can help the site owner understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, pixels, local storage and software development kits, work in the same way, and we refer to all of them here as "cookies". A cookie is "first-party" when we set it and "third-party" when it is set by another service on our pages.

3. The categories we use

We set no Functional, Analytics or Marketing cookie until you have given consent through our cookie banner. Only Necessary cookies are set without consent, because the site cannot work without them. Consent is the legal basis for non-essential cookies under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act, which implements the ePrivacy Directive; the supervisory authority for cookies in Sweden is PTS (Post- och telestyrelsen).

4. Your consent, and how to change it

When you first visit the website, our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and we set no non-essential cookie before you have chosen.

Our consent tool records your consent, including a consent ID and the date you gave it, and lets you change or withdraw it at any time from the cookie settings link in our website footer. You may need to refresh the page for a change to take effect.

5. The live cookie list

The exact, current cookies are shown on the site, kept up to date automatically. Rather than repeat a fixed list here that would go out of date, we maintain a live cookie declaration on the website. Our own scanner keeps it current, and it shows, for each cookie, its name, provider, purpose and storage duration, grouped by the four categories above, alongside your own consent state, consent ID and consent date. You can open it, and change your choices, at any time from the cookie settings link.

The providers whose cookies may appear. Below are the third parties whose cookies we may use, by category. Listing a provider here does not mean its cookies are currently set; the live declaration shows what is actually in use.

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console are also used at the account level to measure and manage the site; where they set cookies, those appear in the live declaration.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

Beyond our banner, most browsers let you delete existing cookies, block new ones, or be warned before a cookie is set. Guides are available for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera in each browser's help pages. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the website work.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. Material changes are shown through the banner or a notice on this page. Use of the MuchSkills platform is covered by our separate Privacy Policy, and other personal data collected through this website by our Website Privacy Policy.
