Product release: Data-driven leadership, strategic workforce planning and other cool updates
It's been a while since we made any big announcements with MuchSkills but it's time. And we promise you we didn't use ChatGPT to draft this email to you. It's all "hand typed" (old school), one key stroke ⌨️ at a time.
If you've already logged into MuchSkills during the past weeks, you would have noticed some significant updates, which we like to call "My Circle".
So what is My Circle - we like to believe it gives team members and managers a better data-driven overview of an individual or team's growth, engagement and connections. Everything from a timeline of skills development to who has selected you to be their goal buddy in their upskilling journey.
The ultimate tool to help you realize you have indeed grown 💪
⏰ New Dashboard (the much needed update 🪄)
You can now track how your skills are changing and developing over time. A month-on-month overview of all your skills and goals mapped out to help you realize that you have indeed grown.

📈 My Circle Overview
The perfect tool for you to toggle through your team’s skills, goals and overall skills development in an interactive timeline to help you have data-driven one-on-ones, coaching sessions, check-ins and development discussions. We’ve written some incredible playbooks to help you navigate these discussions here.
👯 You got a goal buddy
Take it as a compliment when someone adds you as their goal buddy 🔔. It’s their way of showing you that they trust you to hold them accountable as they embark on their goal journey. Make sure to reach out to them to offer help, check in or even just cheer them on. It’s always nice to have someone in your team.
Skills are ever changing and dynamic, even more so today. Which is why growing organizations need to monitor how their collective skills have evolved over time.
📊 Track changes per skill
In Analysis , when you add skills to the list, you can check the volume of how the skills have changed over time. A quick overview to help you mitigate skill-risks or skills surpluses and subsequent sales opportunities.
🏞️ View the ever changing skills landscape in your team & entire organization
Take a step back in My Circle to analyze the skill changes on a month-to-month basis or toggle through quarters and spot trends. What is your organization’s skills strategy? 🤔

We are super excited to close out the year with this last 2022 update, and the theme for this month is visibility. Everything from collaboration and access rights in Team Builder to new report views in your Team Overview we are giving you more control, access and visibility to your team's skills data.
Collaborators in Team Builder
Team Builder just got a major improvement with access and collaboration control. This simply means you can now begin working on setting up your dream team, before the whole world discovers it. You can keep it in a 'Draft' state until you are ready to 'Publish' it for everyone in your org to see. You can also choose to invite collaborators to your team to help you build your best team.
You can discover this feature already under any of your teams in Team Builder.

Sorting in Team Builder
We understand the importance of finding the right individual for the job at hand which is why we have now made it possible for you to sort your search results based on the overall level of expertise of each team member.
Sorting in Analysis
With a focus on productivity, you can now simply filter the data you are trying to analyse by Beginners, Intermediates or Experts. Find the exact profile you are looking for in an instant.
Productivity Reports
It's great when we see team members learning and growing - picking up new skills all the time. However sometimes it's nice to know who can be immediately productive in a project at hand to ensure a successful delivery. This is why we bring to you Productivity Reports, a simple way to quickly see all those that are highly skilled in all reporting views of the platform.

GOAAAAAAAAAALssss
With the closing of the World Cup ⚽, we all really understand the importance of goals and most importantly being able to get an overview of your entire team's goals in one place. Which is why we have added a Goals/Growth reporting tab in your team Overview. See what everyone is working on, cheer them on, help them or join them as they work towards becoming a better version of their professional selves.
No hierarchy, just network
We have made a small but significant improvement to our Org Chart. We have now made it possible for you to rearrange the org chart by connections. Today, it's the Direct Report and Manager connection, but we plan on rolling out other connections to this view in the coming year.
See how you can use the org chart here
Change, change, change (Analysis)
We thought we just slide this one in since it's still in beta, but in Analysis you can now see how your skills have changed over time. Simply change the time frame between 1 month and 1 year and see how your skill density has increased or decreased.
Tag manager, improved org chart and tons of other cool stuff
Boo 👻… Happy spook season. We are super excited to bring to you MuchSkills 3.7, a release where we’ve taken the liberty to add a few new features and fix a bunch of big and small things. The theme for this season is flexibility. With the release of a brand new Tag Manager as well as an updated Org Chart, MuchSkills is making your data even more flexible for analysis.
You will now be able to tag Members, Teams built as well as Analysis lists with unique tags that can be used to quickly filter data no matter what page you’re on. Tags will be available under the MuchSkills filter everywhere, and can be managed under Manage Tags under team settings. You can also watch a helpful how-to video here
To make the Filter even more accessible, we have now made it always visible even if you scroll down the page.
We all know that a modern organisation is just a giant network of people working together towards a common goal, which is why we tweaked the Org Chart to focus on connections at every level. You can now also use the new filter to isolate the data you want visualised for a more efficient experience. Watch our helpful how-to video here
Keeping our house plants alive can be quite a task, but keeping your skills tree green and watered is pretty simple. Just jump into your profile every now and then and do a little skill self-reflection. Doing so will allow everyone in your team to see the most up to date version of yourself.
We are constantly making small tweaks to improve the overall experience and are always more than happy to hear from our users if there are any suggestions.
