Critical issues: eight business hours

How long is a MuchSkills contract, and can we cancel?

A MuchSkills subscription runs for the initial term in your order, one year or longer, and then renews for twelve months at a time unless either side gives notice at least 30 days before the end of the period. There is no cancellation for convenience during a paid term. Fees are paid annually in advance and exclude VAT; public bodies that cannot prepay get payment terms in the order. At renewal, MuchSkills can raise fees by no more than the higher of 5% or the Swedish consumer price index, with 60 days' notice. The full terms are in the MuchSkills Enterprise Terms.

Can we add or remove users during a MuchSkills contract?

Yes. You can add users at any time at the same per-user price as the rest of your plan, and moving a licence from someone who leaves to someone who joins does not change your bill. Your plan covers the number of users you contract for, and it is reset to your actual user count at renewal.

What happens to our data if we stop using MuchSkills?

Your data stays yours. After the subscription ends, MuchSkills keeps customer data for a limited period, normally around 90 days, so you can export it or reinstate the account, and then deletes it; data removed from production is removed from backups within a further 90 days, and written confirmation of deletion is available on request. You can ask for earlier deletion. Export is free, self-service or through the API, during the subscription and the retention period.

What support does MuchSkills offer, and how fast do you respond?

MuchSkills standard support is included with every subscription: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 Central European Time, excluding Swedish public holidays, through in-product chat, website chat and email. Response targets are eight business hours for a critical issue, one business day for a major one, and two to three business days for the rest. Premium support with agreed hours and a named contact is available under contract, and Enterprise plans include a dedicated customer success manager.

Which law governs the MuchSkills contract?

Swedish law. Disputes go to the courts of Gothenburg, Sweden; for customers established outside the European Economic Area they are settled by arbitration under the rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, in English. Public bodies that cannot agree to this have a carve-out, and disputes under the Data Processing Agreement follow the DPA's own clause. See clause 20 of the MuchSkills Enterprise Terms.

Can public sector organisations buy MuchSkills?

Yes. MuchSkills welcomes public tenders, including Swedish public procurement, and its Enterprise Terms already provide for public bodies, with payment terms where prepayment is not allowed and a carve-out from the arbitration clause. The largest MuchSkills deployment is in the public sector: Nigeria's Federal Civil Service, across 46 ministries and 55,000 employees. Ask us about the procurement routes available in your country.

Who owns the taxonomy and role profiles MuchSkills builds for us?

You own what is made specifically for you, once it is paid for. Under the MuchSkills Professional Services Terms, the customer-specific deliverables of an engagement, such as your role profiles and taxonomy decisions, are assigned to you on payment. MuchSkills keeps its own methods, skills database, frameworks and templates, which is what lets every customer start from a curated library instead of a blank page. Your data in the platform is yours throughout.

Do we pay for every employee, or only the people who use MuchSkills?

You pay for the number of users you contract for, and you choose that number. Many organisations start with one department or function and add users later at the same per-user price. Billing follows the contracted number from the start of the term, whether or not everyone has logged in during the first weeks, so contract for the people you will roll out to.

Is MuchSkills a safe long-term choice?

MuchSkills has curated and maintained its skills database since 2020, was named a Major Contender by Everest Group in 2025 and 2026, and runs deployments at national scale. You are protected either way: you own your data and can export all of it at any time, at no charge, in a machine-readable format, and after the subscription ends, your data is kept for normally around 90 days so you can export it. Ask us for references in your industry.

Can partners resell or white-label MuchSkills?

MuchSkills does not offer white-labelling, and the platform may not be rebranded or resold under another name. Consultancies, HR advisers and technology partners work with MuchSkills to introduce it to clients, sell alongside us and deliver services around it. If that fits your business, see find a MuchSkills partner or talk to us about partnering.
